ZMI Research / Our purpose

Why we built ZMI

Preparation should create clarity—not certainty.

Most market commentary focuses on predicting what the market will do next. ZMI takes a different approach: identify where meaningful decisions are likely to occur, understand the conditions surrounding those locations, and define what observable price behavior would confirm acceptance, rejection, continuation, or failure.

Prediction creates attachment.

Preparation creates options.

A better starting point

Know where to look—and what to look for.

Active traders are surrounded by opinions, signals, indicators, and retrospective explanations. The challenge is rarely a shortage of information. It is knowing what deserves attention before price gets there.

ZMI Research begins with the locations where the E-mini S&P 500 futures market is most likely to make decisions. We then add overnight structure, market context, historical evidence, and conditional scenarios for either direction.

The goal is not to hand readers a prediction. It is to help them begin each session with a disciplined framework for interpreting what price actually does.

What readers receive

Intelligence that is accountable to the session.

The Daily Market Mindset establishes the plan before the opening bell. A midday update evaluates which conditions activated and what matters next. The Market Close Debrief compares the published framework with the completed session—including what worked, what failed, and what the evidence suggests for tomorrow.

That cycle matters. Market commentary should not be allowed to rewrite itself after the outcome is known.

Built in public

Join the founding readership.

ZMI is beginning with active traders who value preparation, evidence, and intellectual honesty. Founding readers will help us refine the clarity, structure, usefulness, and accountability of the publication under live market conditions.

Initial coverage focuses on ES futures, with the research and publishing process designed to improve as the evidence grows.

Prepare for the market. Don’t predict it.

Begin the next session with a plan.

Educational notice: ZMI Research provides market commentary for educational and informational purposes only. Our discussion of ES futures price levels and scenarios reflects how we evaluate market structure; it is not personalized financial advice or a recommendation to enter, exit, or hold any trade. Futures trading involves substantial risk and may not be suitable for everyone. If you choose to trade, be patient, trade only with risk capital, use appropriate position sizing, and define your risk before entry. Stop-loss orders may not limit losses to the intended amount under all market conditions.
